Kris-Tangella Academic Excellence Scholarship

To honor their parents’ belief in making education a priority, Dr. Madhu Kris and Dr. Vijaya Tangella have established this scholarship to provide recent high school graduates with the financial support they need to attend a top research university. This scholarship will be awarded to students from Merced county with an interest in the health care industry who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria: Student eligibility is automatically determined based on your UC Admissions Application. Awarded to incoming freshmen from Merced county with an interest in the health care industry who have demonstrated academic excellence with a GPA of 3.25 of higher. Must have a FAFSA or Dream Act Application filed by March 2nd of the award year. Must demonstrate financial need and maintain full time enrollment for both the fall and spring terms.
