UC Merced Bobcat STEM Scholarship

The overall goal of the UC Merced Bobcat STEM Scholars program is to prepare talented students to pursue further studies in graduate school and/or a STEM field. It offers peer and faculty mentoring, early access to research opportunities, related enrichment activities, and a substantial four-year scholarship for a select group of incoming students in the School of Natural Sciences with financial need.

Eligibility Criteria: UC Merced admitted incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in the School of Natural Sciences (Applied Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Systems Science, and Physics), are Pell Grant eligible, and have remaining unmet need. Must have an entering GPA of 3.5 or higher. Must have a FAFSA completed by March 2nd of the award year. This is a multi-year scholarship renewable up to 4 years upon meeting satisfactory progress standards towards degree.
