Rose R. Ruiz Endowed Scholarship
Fred and Mitzie Ruiz established the Rose R. Ruiz Scholarship to honor their mother, her strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit and her belief in higher education. The object of the scholarship is to inspire and encourage those students who qualify under the California Dream Act, have financial need and are first generation college students.
Eligibility Criteria: Student eligibility is automatically determined based on your UC Admissions Application for freshman or by the official University student record for continuing students. Must qualify under the California Dream Act (AB 130/131). Must have a Dream Act Application on file for award year completed by March 2nd. Open to continuing undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher and entering freshmen /transfer students with an entry GPA of 3.25 or higher. A preference will be given to those who are first generation college students. Must demonstrate financial need. Must maintain full time enrollment for both fall and spring terms.
