Wells Fargo Scholarship Fund for Central Valley Community College Transfer Students

Continuing a tradition of support for higher education that stretches back to the founding of the University of California in 1868, The Wells Fargo Foundation established a scholarship fund to provide financial support for community college junior transfer students from the San Joaquin Valley that plan on attending UC Merced.

Eligibility Criteria: Student eligibility is automatically determined based on your UC Admissions Application. Awarded to incoming transfer students from one of the counties that comprise the San Joaquin Valley; Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Stanislaus or Tulare. Must have a minimum entry GPA 3.25. Must complete a FAFSA or Dream Act Application by March 2nd of award year. Must demonstrate financial need and maintain full time enrollment for both fall and spring terms. Preference will be given to those students who are first generation college students. This is a multi-year scholarship renewable up to 2 years (4 semester) upon meeting renewal criteria.
