Jefferson Jennings Doolittle Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Jefferson Jennings Doolittle Scholarship Fund was established by Jean Doolittle Henry, the daughter of the late Jefferson Jennings Doolittle, founder of the La Grange Gold Dredging Company, to honor her father’s work in the Valley. This scholarship is designed to assist deserving students from the San Joaquin Valley majoring in Earth Systems Science.
Eligibility Criteria: Must complete the Continuing Student Scholarship Application by March 2nd and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. Must complete a FAFSA or Dream Act Application by March 2nd of award year. Must be from one of the counties that comprise the San Joaquin Valley; Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus or Tulare. A preference will be given to students from Merced County or Stanislaus County. Must be an undergraduate, continuing student with an Earth Systems Science or Environment system Science major. Must demonstrate financial need and maintain full time enrollment for both fall and spring terms.
