John Elia Scholarship Endowment in Support of Veterans

The John Elia Scholarship to support Veterans and their families was established in 2014 by Kenneth and Richard Elia in honor of their father and his legacy of supporting public education. He was a dynamic educator who had a direct impact on thousands of students during his 50 year teaching career.

Eligibility Criteria: Awarded to students who are veterans of the Armed Forces or dependents of veterans. Must have a FAFSA or Dream Act Application completed by March 2nd of the award year. Open to continuing undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. Must demonstrate financial need. Must maintain full time enrollment for both fall and spring terms.
